LAB 1: Certificate in Film Production
LAB 1 is Weengushk Film Institute’s foundational hands-on film production program. It is designed for students who are ready to begin their journey in filmmaking through practical learning, creative development, and mentorship in a supportive environment.
Students build skills across key areas of film production, including screenwriting, producing, directing, cinematography, editing, composing, and marketing. Throughout the program, they gain hands-on experience while developing confidence, discipline, and a stronger understanding of how stories move from concept to screen.
At WFI, LAB 1 is about more than technical training. It is about helping emerging creators develop voice, purpose, and the ability to tell meaningful stories through film. Rooted in a learning environment that values creativity, growth, and support, the program gives students a strong foundation in both craft and storytelling.
