MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
The Marketing and Communications Intern is involved in developing marketing campaigns that promote Weengushk Film Institute services or ideas. The role includes planning, advertising, public relations, organizing events, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research. The work is often challenging, varied and exciting.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the marketing campaign budget to ensure all activities are completed within agreed budgets
To manage media partners in order to maximize budget and exposure.
To produce, purchase and place all advertising media, promotional print, press releases.
To organize press, events and receptions at festivals and conferences.
Assist with the compilation of all WFI content including Programming.
To manage the organization's website in consultation with relevant staff.
To organize WFI participation at conferences and events to promote membership and other services.
To manage marketing volunteers when required.
Working closely with the Artistic Director and participants with scheduling, burning DVD’s, marketing plans for films.
Other related duties.
Candidates must be graduates, within the last three years, of post-secondary degree or diploma programs.
The position must provide the intern with first time employment in their field of study.
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $ 35,000.00/year
