Nakoa Film Festial Postponed

The launching of the inaugural Nakoa Film Festival, as hosted by Weengushk Film Institute and Brock University will be postponed indefinitely due to unforeseen circumstances. As part of its commitment to promote independent Aboriginal and Indigenous films, WFI in partnership with Brock University was to launch the Nakoa Film Festival in St. Catharines, Ontario from November 25-27, 2016. WFI would like to thank all filmmakers who submitted their films to the festival this year, and encourage them to resubmit their work once a new date for the festival has been released. The Nakoa Film Festival looks to become an annual Aborigina and Indigenous film festival that will allow independent filmmakers to promote their films, and heighten awareness of Aboriginal issues in Canada and around the world.
