Discover Manitoulin Island
Weengushk Film Institute is located just outside of M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. The island is the largest freshwater lake island in the world, surrounded by Lake Huron, Georgian Bay and the North Channel. The natural beauty of the island and the cultural history, make WFI's location a prime spot for media production.

Bridal Veil Falls is a waterfall near the town of Kagawong on Manitoulin Island. The height of the waterfall is approximately 35 feet (11 m), and flows from the Kagawong River into Lake Huron. Photo by Craig Sellars

The 12km Cup & Saucer Trail is located approximately 5 minutes outside of M'Chigeeng, Ontario. The trail is the extension of the Niagara Escarpment and has cliffs over 70 metres in height.

Gore Bay is approximately 30 minutes West of M'Chigeeng, Ontario. Gore Bay is famous for its bays and inlets and is a renowned sailing destination.
Little Current is located on the northeast side of Manitoulin Island. The only land access to Manitoulin Island is by the Little Current Swing Bridge, which crosses the North Channel of Lake Huron. Little Current is also famous for its boardwalk.
Providence Bay is located on the south shore of Manitoulin Island and approximately 30 minutes from M'Chigeeng, Ontario. The Providence Bay Beach is said to be the best in Northern Ontario, and overlooks Lake Huron.
